Loose ring

My DH has bought me a beautiful pair of stacking rings, and they are a little too loose. I'm new to rings as I've just stopped biting my nails. They are loose but they do need to be, as my knuckles are big, so couldn't get on other wise. Any advice?

Thing is, if they fit over the knuckles, they're too loose below it if you know what I mean
