With a different Bank?

I'd like a separate bank account with a card I can use for disposable spends

I currently bank with Halifax and have a savings account and current account

I'd like a debit card I can use that's with a different bank

Is this possible or is it classed as switching? Feel embarrassed to ask but I am confused because NatWest for example talk about 'switching'

Which I don't want

I have one all my income goes into and my bills go out of and then transfer my spending money into a different account.

The only time it's irritating is if you have to provide bank statements to someone but that's just an inconvenience.

I have two at one bank and one at another.
