Hi everyone.
I wondered if anyone can give me some suggestions or ideas of what I can do to make a child's birthday special when it's a school day? My daughter will be 10, I just want it to feel like it will different for her. Any help would be appreciated, thankyou 😊

Special birthday breakfast
Birthday badge for school
Special packed lunch
A birthday gift they can wear/use (new headband or something)
Parent/guardian collects from school and go straight out somewhere (bowling/park etc)
Special birthday tea
Are they too old to take sweets in for the whole class?

Cake for breakfast. An It's my birthday badge. At my children's primary school it was a traditional for the birthday child to bring in cupcakes or sweets for the whole class which they handed out at home time but that was a few years ago and I don't know if there is a total ban on sugar these days?

I decorate the kitchen with balloons and things and have all the cards and presents on the table for when they get up. They can open one or two small things.

Activity of their choice after school

Special dinner and cake later
