Cooker broke under warranty

I got it through the welfare fund last year and it’s still under warranty. It worked until I pulled it away from the wall in order to clean and it was after that it stopped turning on completely. The wire is still intact and attached to the cooker by the wall. The local council, welfare fund and the company who provided the cooker have all said that if pulling it away from the wall has caused it to break, I will have to pay for the call out AND replacement. I am terrified to ask them to come out in case they find a way to say that it’s something I’ve done. How can this be right?

No advice but your mistake was telling them you'd pulled it away from the wall, now they'll try to find any opportunity to put the blame on you and therefore no cost on them to fix it.

It is highly unlikely your action caused the fault, get a call out.

I have replaced it with a cheap air fryer that has a few other functions because I couldn’t afford a replacement cooker.
I got the feeling they would blame me for the cooker being broken and I would then have to pay
