Holidaying in the area in a couple of weeks, with a view to moving there very soon from Kent , DH has a new job in the area and Ive been made redundant. Our flat is under offer so we need to move quite quickly.
Anyone have recommendations on good areas and more importantly, those to avoid please? As only one of us will be working initially, we're looking at a budget of anywhere from 50k (no mortgage for us) to around 130k. We also have 2 Retrievers so areas with easy access to nice walks is important. No kids, nor plans for any, so school areas are illerevant. I will need to be in Kent to check on my Dad every 4-6 weeks so a reasonable rail link would be nice. We don't really need more than 2 bedrooms.
