Never cooked them before... is this normal? Worried I'm going to poison my kid
Cooked them in the air fryer at 210 for about 15 mins

Are they very hot inside? Pretty sure they are pre cooked and then frozen so you just make sure they are piping hot before serving

These Bernard Matthews ones look pinkish on the packet.

I'm no expert but yours look like the picture on the packet to me. Turkey isn't like chicken, it doesn't go bright white when it's cooked.

Dartmoorcheffy · 13/06/2024 18:15

Turkey meat does generally have a pink tinge to it. As long as they are above 72 degrees in the centre they are cooked. They look fine to me.

BertieBotts · 13/06/2024 18:15

They don't look pink to me, they look white/cooked

doubledicker · 13/06/2024 18:21

I'm sure they're cooked because any longer in the air fryer they'd be burnt but the pink colour just shocked me ! They do look more pink than the pics show

This always gets me too! I’m sure it’s okay but always uneasy over it

scrapsontheside · 13/06/2024 20:52

They are mechanically retrieved meat So maybe it's it's gristle & whatever "holds the mix together"
You could check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer if you have one
