"Labour has pledged to ban conversion therapy despite fears it could stop children who are questioning their gender from getting help.
The party unveiled a “fully trans-inclusive ban” in their plans on Thursday, which would come into force should they succeed in the polls.
The Conservatives rejected a ban on the practice, with Tory politicians saying that no law would be needed because coercion was already illegal."

The problem is that "conversion therapy" is not simple to define. It could capture anything from an open conversation with a therapist initiated by the patient to something nasty and coercive...

It's basically criminalising consensual conversations for those who want support and not just gender-affirming care.

We are in for such a battle when labour get in.
