I know there are countless threads but I’m shivering outside watching DS(3) wearing a coat trying to make the best out of a play area on a farm shop. Normally it would be a lovely treat but we’re both miserable and cold and will go home soon. WTF is going on seriously? Sad

My in laws are in France. They keep sending my pictures of beautiful beaches and blue sky and sun. They’re in t shirt and shorts

meanwhile I’m in my winter coat in 11 degree temperature with rain and wind 🥶

i agree op. It’s ridiculous. Where is the sunnnn

Where is the sunnnn? Does your room smell like an armpit?😂

LulusMiniEgg · 13/06/2024 18:24

Currently on a mini break in Copenhagen… it’s classic Uk weather here too - sunshine & showers, windy and about 15-17c. Not what I hoped when I booked it for DH’s special birthday treat 😂

Yes, it's very nippy for the time of year. Maybe it means we'll have a late summer. Like that year October was hot as hell. Can't remember the year but it was boiling.

Mimilamore · 13/06/2024 18:31

Sunshine ( not talking heatwaves) just seems to lighten the mood. Lovely to sit and bask instead of finding shelter, linger longer...... people seems a bit hunched and downhearted.

MermaidEyes · 13/06/2024 18:35

We've definitely had some shitty Junes in recent years, I can remember a couple of years on the trot when kids sports days were cancelled, rearranged, cancelled again, because the weather was so wet. The difference was we'd had really nice April/May. This year I think we've had around 2 full weeks of warm sunshine in total 😒

Heelworkhero · 13/06/2024 18:40

It’s been chucking it down here for the last few hours.
Warm jumper didn’t come off today…….

This week we were due to meet friends and do lots of nude activities.
We’ve cancelled the leave and are going abroad again later in the year, after our summer holiday in Europe.

Its shit!!!!!!

The annoying thing is, it’s often bright and sunny before 9am, but not warm, then clouds over, then bright and sunny from around 7pm again. No chance to actually get much above mid teens, temp wise……

Cattery · 13/06/2024 18:42

I quite like it. Hate the heat in this country

hastalav · 13/06/2024 18:44

@Heelworkhero Tell us more about your nude activities with your friends. It might improve my mood in this weather.

@hastalav all sorts - making up swimming routines, walks, singing round the camp fire, bbq, story telling, river swimming, yoga…….
It’s an informal set up, with everyone contributing as much or little as they wish, just getting together in the sunshine.

Do you pack all that in on the ONE day of sunshine and heat we get most years, or are you happy to have goosebumps out in the wild.

Do you have a sex pond hot tub also for these nude get togethers?

Ha ha! Over a week or so! Sex ponds most welcome, but not always available.

NewspaperTaxis · 13/06/2024 19:44

Sex ponds? Sounds like frog spawn....

Anyway, around October the weather gets a nip and it starts to feel Christmassy - when this happens I get out my box of vinyls singles with songs like Life in A Northern Town, Vienna, Dark of the Matinee, Chiquita, Einstein a Go-Go and Christmassy ones too, like Last Christmas and Slade.

I am not kidding when I say I feel like getting out that box of vinyl now. Along with getting in a bottle of red and some seasonal side dishes.

I had very high VitD readings on my last bloods in November. Doc told me not to take any supplements between end March and End October. He might be changing his mind about that now.

What heat?

LoveBluey · 13/06/2024 20:21

I'm fed up of the people on here telling me this weather is normal and I should be grateful it's not hotter. Today I wore a t shirt, wooly jumper and down filled jacket and was still cold on the school run. In June. Nope I refuse to accept that is normal.

I don't want 40 degrees heat but I do expect in mid June to be able to wear just a T-shirt or at a push a light jumper/ cardigan. It makes me feel very low and I just need some nice weather to lift my mood.

Theunamedcat · 13/06/2024 20:29

It's so wet I need flippers

I had lost some weight I think I'm putting it back on because it's fucking cold and my diet foods are fucking cold
