What is your happy place/simple pleasure?

Mine is with a coffee, blanket, kindle and dog. Just lovely. Could happily have a little doze!

Riding, cycling or walking in the countryside. Essentially outside but going somewhere!

Sitting in my egg chair on the balcony overlooking the beach, with my kindle in my hand, a cup of tea and my little dog. Even better in warm weather otherwise a blanket will suffice. I am extremely grateful to live on the coast.

Exercise, particularly a very challenging barre class.

There's a dog walk near me that ends at a bench on top of some limestone cliffs that has the most gorgeous view. It's not a difficult walk, usually very quiet, and I have so many photos of that view at different times in different weathers. Sitting on that bench on the clifftop looking at the Welsh hills is my happy place, and has been since I was a child.

My larder - freshly filled with deliveries from Hodmedods, Riverford, cheesemongers, fishmongers, biodynamic wine suppliers, coffee bean roasters …

Particularly come Autumn when there’s fruit soaking in rum for Christmas cakes. 😋
