Relocating to Kirkham/ Lytham

After a lot of consideration we have decided to move from Manchester initially, we were set on buying in Lytham. However, we stumbled upon Kirkham and found that it offers much more value for money. As a result, we’ve had to rethink our plans, especially regarding schools and activities for our kids.

We looking for:

School Recommendations 📚:

We’re looking for recommendations on primary and secondary schools for our 9-year-old and 13-year-old. 13 yr old still wants us to consider LHS despite moving to Kirkham but have to work out if still practical to attend. Any personal experiences or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Safety & Play Areas 🛝: Insights on safe neighbourhoods and good play areas.

Carr Hill High School really not good, so if I had dc going to secondary and couldn’t send them to Kirkham Grammar it would rule out Kirkham for me.
I’d rather a smaller house in Lytham than a bigger one in Kirkham. More going on there shopwise (Council determined to rip the heart out of Kirkham with endless high street ‘redesign’), culturally etc. Swimming baths gone due to their incompetence and greed, too. I grew up in Kirkham and it’s heartbreaking to see what it’s become these days.
Warton is halfway between the two, some new estates gone up there that seem quite nice if you like new builds.

Wrea Green?
Really I'd be sticking with Lytham to be honest.

Your 13yo could walk from Wrea Green to Ribby for sports etc
