I am a regular but have changed my user name.

Which kinds of drugs could be cooked up in a microwave at low/medium power and would be taken by someone when they first wake up? I have a new lodger but they are acting strange. Have I invited an addict into my home?

What makes you think it's drugs and what is the strange behaviour? Are you sure they're not warming milk in the microwave or defrosting something they intend to have for lunch.

Why did you assume it was drugs?

You can microwave cocaine if it's a bit damp/clumpy as it drives off the moisture and makes it easier to chop and sniff. You can also mix it with baking soda and microwave to turn into crack crystals which can smoke.

I microwave porridge in the morning. I’ve also sometimes done Ready Brek which is really just white powder.

A friend also suggested ketamine. There are some odd behavioural traits that suggest it isn’t porridge!

Surely they would just put a microwave in their room to avoid suspicion?

It could be 'hotplating'. Used for cocaine, ketamine and others.
