Does anyone else fall asleep after eating carbs?

As the title says really.
I'm ok if I have, say, a sandwich at work as I am on my feet all day but anything carby when I am sitting and boom. I am asleep. Often I don't even realize I am falling asleep, I just a then wake up!

Anyone else?

Yes, me. I swapped sandwiches and reheated leftovers for salads at work, in order to cut carbs for weight loss, and found that my post-lunch slump disappeared.

Yes, I have this. Especially pasta. It sucks.

Me! I very rarely eat carbs as a result. A sandwich would have me comatose. I wouldn’t even consider something carby at lunchtime. Partly because I watch my weight, but mostly because I’d have such a slump.

If I ate breakfast (I don’t), I’d love toast and marmite, but sadly, I’d want to go back to bed afterwards. And I’d gain weight.

I tried salads. Salad sandwich is my go to at work (if I bother eating!) so I easily swapped it out, until I realized eating a salad behind a till really doesn't work Grin and my area manager thought I was most odd! No I just don't bother and snack on crap protein bars instead :/

I'm kind of the opposite. It sends my heart rate up and I get all shaky. Tested for diabetes but it came back as normal. I just have to make sure I eat a lot of protein and/or fat if I'm having cards.

Oats are the worst for some reason. If I have porridge in the morning I feel absolutely awful.
