Does anyone else get nervous before going away?

Does anyone else get nervous before going away for a few nights? I don’t know if it’s a mix or nerves and excitement or just nerves but I always feel on edge, worry about stupid things like what if I’m poorly when I’m away or things go wrong somehow. Please tell me I’m not the only one?!

I don’t, I went abroad for four days last week, came home for two nights and am away again.

I get really anxious about my luggage not showing up. I'm not scared of flying as such but nervous of being stuck on a plane unable to land or take off. I always get anxious at security to, god knows why. DH is obsessed with foreign travel, I'd happily stay home but get dragged along.

Yup. We're going to france on Saturday. Taking young dog on first long trip. She is the vomiting queen when travelling.

We've got so much bloody paperwork to get her through customs, i am so stressed about it. Would happily cancel at this point.

Obviously i am going to be cleaning the house and changing sheets tomorrow. No idea why as husband doesn't appear to have any of these things on his radar.

Im ok once we are in france. Its just the preparations (i mean it was essential that i did emergency trip to sainsbury today for new pants!) and taking dog through customs post brexit.

At the moment i feel like im preparing for an exam

I didn't until the past few years

Not sure if it's being a parent or my age but I find holidays stressful

I'm terrible. I hate packing. I hate flying. I'm OK once I'm there with a drink in my hand but I would usually rather be back in my own bed with my cats after a few nights!

Yes. I always feel like this for a couple of weeks before & question why I am even doing it. But soon as we are on the plane, I feel much better and can relax in the knowledge that everything is done!

Absolutely, I have two cats and one always knows we're going away even though nothing has been sorted and packed! I now take them to the cattery about 2 days before we leave so I can relax and get myself sorted!

Does anyone else always feel like they are coming down with a cold or something before they go and partly it’s just the stress / nerves? It’s so silly when a holiday is a nice thing!
