Is aldi almat colour washing powder discontinued?

I haven't been able to get it anywhere for weeks. There are two in stock, a bio and non bio but they both say they are for whites. I can't find any other powder that doesn't stink.

I’ve been waiting for that to come back in stock too. The shelf strip does name all the types including the colour one, but the colour one is never there, so I assumed it was till just out of stock not discontinued.

ShipshapeShore · 11/06/2024 15:59

I couldn't find it either. Not looking good!

PuneorPlayonWords · 11/06/2024 17:01

Well that's disappointing. Any suggestions for sn alternative?I hate the smell of most of them

Have you tried the lidl one?

Maddy70 · 11/06/2024 17:13

I did years ago and I had a reaction to it. I presume it's the same recipe? (Recipe sounds wrong but I can't think of an alternative word)

I hope that's just it. Can't find it in three local stores though or on the website for click and collect and have been looking for about a month. Staff have just said it's out of stock when I asked

The liquids shit as well. Leaves armpits on clothes still a bit smelly

PuneorPlayonWords · 11/06/2024 18:28

I resorted to buying some of the colour capsule yokes and they seem fine but I hate the smell.

I just went to check under the sink, because I bought a box last week, but have realised it is the one for whites. Can't say I have noticed any difference.

We couldn't get it a couple of weeks ago, but it was all back on the shelves on Saturday. Supplier issues may be?

Lee667 · 16/06/2024 16:02

I haven't seen it for a while, in my local Aldi all Almat powders and liquids have been out of stock for about 5-6 weeks. All they have is gel or pods.

I'm hoping it comes back and it's just a supplier issue. But I keep finding with some of Aldi's products that the quality has suffered. Aldi thick bleach is now like water, even the more expensive one in the grey bottle. The Saxon Softest toilet roll I bought 3 weeks ago, has gone from being really soft to really rough.

Nigellasstickytoffeepudding · 16/06/2024 16:21

We have it in Nottingham 🤷🏼‍♀️

Got some! I was unexpectedly passing today and had a look in and it was in stock so I grabbed three boxes! (I didn't have any bags with me so I maxed out on carrying ability 😂)

They've discontinued their own big boxes of washing powder.

BrandNewBicep · 09/07/2024 13:57

Its showing on their site.

Cookerhood · 09/07/2024 14:04

I got some a couple of weeks ago after not being able to get it for ages.
I've been using Tesco liquid but I prefer powder.

Thenpinknuttynanny · 14/09/2024 12:04

I am having problems with the bio pods
The pods that were on offer are totally useless did not remove stains at all
May have just washed in plain water.

Thenpinknuttynanny · 14/09/2024 12:08

I hope aldi get there act together with thier laundry pods
The ones that they had on the shelves were useless
May have just washed in plain water.
All my aldi has is persil bio pods or my fall back altmat box powder.

Glad you got it, I like it for the lack of perfume too and have found stocks very erratic over the last year or so

Can't find that in local Lidl either.
I'm wondering if all colour washing powders have been stopped, or something? Maybe they contain something the UN has banned?

Sainsbury's does a colour powder. I made a special visit to find it

Merlin3189 · 27/09/2025 10:42

I am an Aldi fan, but this is one of their big problems - many of their products come in boxes of mixed varieties, and the popular varieties sell out very quickly, leaving the varieties that few people want. I think it is a deal with the manufacturers to get a lower price if they take mixed boxes. Presumably, the manufacturers can shift unpopular lines that way.
