When is the best time to buy school uniform?

DD starts school in September, not sure whether to leave it until August time or not to give her an extra couple months to grow? Or am I better off ordering asap?

I have been wondering this too. The local school uniform shop is always rammed in August, and I have two kids to buy for this time, which makes it even harder work. so I was thinking about getting ahead. But then what if she grows? I've gone back and forth a bit over it.

When M&S have their 20% off end of June! You just keep the receipt and swap what doesn’t fit. No way would I leave anything until September or end of August, they’ll be nothing left!

We had to get the skirt and cardigan from the school and the deadline was the start of June so already got these. I’ve ordered all the other clothes too but just sized up a bit.

I will take her to get her shoes at the start of August. She has a school starter photoshoot booked so need it all before then.

Years I'm doing well I go July as soon as kids break up.
Nothing worse than trying to do it in late August especially shoes

Mine always have a growth spurt over summer. Learned that the hard way 🙈
