Kids Week 2024. Anyone else stuck in a queue thats just getting longer?

I opened the kids week page about 9.30am. Told me queue would start at 10am. Which it did, but as soon as I was in the queue estimated wait time was more than an hour.
Now I've been waiting 37 minutes and during time the queue wait has dropped to 30 mins, up to 44 mins, and now its more than an hour again. FFS.

I logged on at 10am on the nose. Still in queue for over an hour. Frustratingly about 30 min ago it showed 56 min but then 2 min later went back to over an hour. Not really convinced it's worth it as there really won't be anything left that my kids want to see by the time I get in.

I'm still waiting LOL. It now says 5 minutes. So I shall hold out...

...and got Hamilton tickets. Finally. At nearly 1pm. Not brilliant ones. But I checked on seatplan and they look ok and crucially leg room for the teen. My job is done :)

I managed to get in about midday (at 10.20 it said I had 15 min to wait, that did not turn out to be accurate!) and got tickets to Matilda, went back a little while ago and got in in about 15 min, got some tickets to Ministry of Science Live

Just now got tickets for Hamilton. Wasn't my planned show as wanted one for all the family, youngest is 6. So just for me and my DD. But she's more into theatre than my son anyway!

Glad you got some in the end. Going by feedback on fb a lot of people got kicked out so not very happy!

Helpaladyoutplease · 11/06/2024 20:04

Im impressed! I got in and tried for matilda tickets. Selected about 8 different dates and it said no tickets at all them it said my time was up and kicked me off the site!

Partridgewell · 11/06/2024 20:10

Oh no @Helpaladyoutplease !

I had to wait until I got home from work as I'm a teacher, but managed to get Wicked and Beauty and the Beast tickets. Pretty happy with those.

I totally forgot about it. We looked at the shows but only when I tried to go back into the website at 9.30am I realised what was going on.

So at 8pm I finally had DD and DH on the same page and booked Les Miserable for the 1st September, 3 tickets for £135.

A lot easier when you have an older teen, I remember the year we tried Mathilda and Lion King, absolutely pointless.

I found if you subscribe to Ticketmaster emails you get often offers, we had 40% off tickets on a regular basis. I actually refuse to buy West End tickets at normal prices now.
