End of term gifts - nursery staff

Its my first year dealing with the end of term teacher gifts so I’m a bit clueless as to what is the norm!

Child is 3 and started 6m ago. He had a really tough time settling into nursery and dealing with the separation from me. All staff have been incredible with him, but particularly his keyworker and the other staff member who takes his group once a week while keyworker is off.

I’m thinking a nice tin of biscuits/sweets for the staff room and then a small gift each for his keyworker and the other girl who takes his group. Does that seem like the norm?

Any suggestions for small gifts would be appreciated! Both girls are in their 20s. I know that one has allergies and dietary restrictions so would rather avoid foody gifts for them.

I used to give some kind of soap or plants / flowers and a hand written card.

I used to give a Costa gift card and a box of chocolates/cakes to share

@Stainglasses @Wherearethebutterflies Thank you! Small town with no Costa etc near but we do have other small independent coffee shops so that could be an idea!

Honestly.... a card saying what you appreciated and then a tin of biscuits is more than enough. Don't overthink it!

@wiggleweggle thanks x

That sounds lovely OP. Anything is appreciated. I usually get lots of small vouchers for the local coffee shop or nearest shopping centre. Sometimes a bottle of wine, box of chocolates or biscuits, a keyring, a plant, lots of candles! All really enjoyed and appreciated. My personal favourites were a nice water bottle and a coffee cup because they are so practical. I'm always overwhelmed at how kind people are. I often think of all the years I spent in the corporate world and never got as much as a thanks.

@Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong Thank you. He really struggled to settle at the start and I couldn’t have asked for the staff to do any more to help him. They have been ridiculously good so I’d just like to make sure they know how appreciated they are!
