Is there anything like vanish powder but more eco friendly/less scented?

We wash in ecoleaf non bio liquid and it's fine for most things, but every now and then for work clothes or sports kit I'd like to be able to chuck a scoop of something like Vanish in.

But I can't find anything that is similar but without a) ingredients that cause lasting harm to aquatic life, b) overpowering scent or c) isn't designed to keep whites white and therefore unsuitable for colours! The only "eco" versions I can find are basically laundry bleach which isn't what I want at all.

Does anything like this exist?

Soda crystals

Was also going to say soda crystals, however they do fade colours over time. White vinegar in the fabric softener compartment can help freshen and neutralise strong odours

Thanks. I'm hoping there's something that's enzyme based really, just without the stink overpowering fragrance 😬 I don't want to switch to using bio laundry liquid full time but would just like to be able to add some to the odd wash!

I’ve been converted to Nancy Birtwhistle’s eco cleaning products.

Her liquid laundry detergent is boiling water, grated soap (leftovers are fine), washing soda, some washing up liquid for emulsion and essential oil for fragrance. You can find instructions online but I also bought her book Clean and Green.
Its dynamite, keeps the machine clean and the clothes come dry with fewer wrinkles. And all her eco products cost pennies to make.

A quick Google tells me sodium percarbonate (green bleach) is the eco equivalent of Vanish. Which is what you’re already doing.

Sodium percarbonate is the key ingredient in vanish and can be purchased on its own as a laundry cleaner. A Human and Environmental Risk Assessment by the HERA project says it's environmentally safe.

It's also good for cleaning decking.

Agree with other sodium percarbonate

Marks and Spencer have a fragrance free stain remover spray with enzymes in - not sure how good it is though as only just bought it.
