What do your pre-teens watch on YouTube?

My kids are obsessed with watching Minecraft and Roblox on YouTube, but in my day we used to watch structured cartoons on CBBC or CITV etc. I am so out of touch with what they are watching and wondered if other parents are experiencing similar things. What do your pre-teens (specifically 8-12) tend to watch?

My 10 year old watches K-Pop music videos. As well as Fortnite, Roblox, Minecraft, people playing with Lego. But then she also watches people cooking, baking, crafting, the 3 marker challenge.

My 13 year old watches mostly sports.
Football, F1, Cricket. People playing FIFA. He uses Tik Tok mostly now, we gave him Tik Tok about 6 months after starting secondary school as he said people were laughing at him because YouTube is babyish.

I think it's easy to get sucked in. I get sucked in to the shorts on fb, I don't use any other social media really.

Irritates me that they can watch this dross for hours but don't have the attention span for a film!

I can’t believe that 13 year olds think YouTube is babyish. I learn so much from that platform. Times are clearly changing. I also wish my kids were watching something more productive. Sports is pretty good though ☺️. I just have to figure out how to redirect their interests, lol 😂. Thank you for sharing.

My 8 and 9 year old daughters love Moriah Elizabeth and to be fair I've been known to watch a bit when they are at school! She is very engaging and talented.
