Has anyone ever gone back to college in your 40s

I like what I do. I work in care but often it gets so demanding and long and it's just so much at times.

I am interested in hairdressing but it's going to be a huge change especially at my age in my 40s and bills and stuff. I think I might be able to live on a part time wag and working somewhere while I study. It's something I am drawn to for sure.

Advice please.

I would need to start applying now for a course starting in September or I give this year a miss.

If you can make it work then go for it.

Hi OP, just to let you know there is a Mature Students and Retraining board, full of people who went back and studied something in their 40's and beyond. It's very inspirational. Definitely go for it if you feel like it's the right thing.
