What are the BEST salt and vinegar crisps

I absolutely love the flavour but frequently find they are never strong enough.

I'm talking tongue tingly, upper lip sweat inducing, super duper strong salt and vinegar flavour.

What are your best recommendations? So far the strongest I've found is Co-op sea salt and chardonnay, but they seem weaker than they used to be 😫

Hit me up if you know a better one!

Spawn of the Devil - along with cheese and onion.... (just to add balance!)😦

Co op. The best salt and vinegar crisps ever. I am currently doing fast 800 but know there is a bag of these hidden in my kitchen. I will be strong (hopefully). My mouth will thank me.

Golden Wonder Full Flavour, as PP said. For me, they are sweat inducing but leave the skin on my tongue in tact, probably because I have one of the 25g bags at a time. I'm sure if I had a second packet my mouth would start to hurt.

S&V crisps are what I am craving whilst dieting - it's the only thing I have really missed Sad

Co op salt and Chardonnay vinegar. Truly delicious.

ShortColdandGrey · 10/06/2024 20:29

Prigles, they give me salt and vinegar burns on my lips, but they are so good Grin

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 10/06/2024 20:29

Discos are strong, but they are like eating cardboard. Yes to squares too.
However, for a proper potato crisp Seabrooks are the best imho, or tyrells ridged.

LittleMonks11 · 10/06/2024 20:30

S&V Discos used to be severely strong not sure about these days.

HappyHedgehog247 · 10/06/2024 20:31

Co-op! There's only two things I specifically to a co-op for- their decaf tea and their salt and vinegar big bag crisps

Amsx · 10/06/2024 20:32

Co op and then Tyrell's

AmazingBouncingFerret · 10/06/2024 20:34

Oooh fond memories of the Asda own brand from the early 90’s that were so strong my lips would turn blue and a white layer of skin would peel away. Good times…

Also, discos used to do packets with a “flava enhancer” in them to make them more intense.

And lastly, you used to be able to buy salt and vinegar flavoured salt. It came in a little blue salt shaker and was the best thing on chicken flavoured super noodles.

I miss the 90’s… Grin
