Me: money. I'm worried about the rising cost of everything. What are you worried about?

My worry is money. I hate it it's so hard to survive! I need a better job but I live rurally and there just aren't any.

Me! Been awake since four am.

I am worried about work. I am leaving a job that was not right for me in two weeks and starting a new one and I am desperately hoping the new one is a better fit. I have been overwhelmed and worried about work for a whole year and that has been very difficult.
Stupidly, I am also worried about the weather (or more specifically, I am worried about the impact of the shit weather on my mental health). I am very keen for some sunshine!

I am sure your new job will work out you need to tell yourself it will all be fine.
I'm in this position minus the new job. I think you're amazing that you are making a positive change.

Thank you - that is such a nice comment. It is a bit of a weird one (hence the worrying at 4am!) - I am taking a side ways move rather than a promotion because I just can’t cope with the level of stress and responsibility of a further promotion. In my head this sort of feels like a failure after studying and pushing myself for the whole of my twenties and early 30s. My mental health and physical health is on the floor and the increase in salary at the moment would so not be worth it. Really hoping to regain a bit of work-life balance and feel good about myself and the stuff I do again in the new role.

I am sorry to hear you’re so stressed! All I can say is that I do feel better now I’ve got a bit more of a ‘plan’ in place. Is there any way you can switch jobs or at least start looking? Work overwhelm is hideous, I can’t believe how much it has bled into every single part of my life over this year. It has sucked the fun out of everything to be worrying constantly about work.

Feeling anxious. I think my period is due. Worrying and anxiety has hit. I can tell I'm hardly going to sleep tonight 😣
