Intense stomach virus…

Our house just got struck, hardcore, I might add by this intense stomach virus, which I’m positive was norovirus ( I’ve had it before) but seemed more savage than usual. Usually when a stomach virus hits, out of 8 it’s only max 4 that gets hit. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Dd11 was struck first, Wednesday night, vomiting followed by diarrhoea. Pretty much feeling better by Thursday evening. Me and mum cleaned tf out of the house, Friday ds16 getting ready for his gcse, bam throws up, he got it the worst, 12 times he was sick and had diarrhoea at the same time. 2 hours later DP calls and says he coming home from work as he’s vomited, 2 hours after him dsis pukes at work, comes home. So by this point, dd is pretty much on the mend, I’m knee deep in bleach cleaning after they’ve used the toilets left right and centre, so at this point it’s half the house, I lock my self in a separate room with the dog for most of the evening, mum gets sick around 2 am, then it’s finally got me at 4am… tbh I was the best off, mostly diarrhoea and one vomit episode. And I felt absolutely fine when I woke up this morning. Just Hungry . Dbro gf got it this morning so the only one not got it yet, is my bro. I’ve never seen anything like it, I’ve had my fair share of sickness bugs but despite myself not getting hit as bad, watching everyone else was horrific, DS mostly, he got it really bad. He’s back to himself today but. Anyone else had something similar recently?

Yes, we had this over half term. My Son (6) started on Saturday evening, sick 11 times from 5pm - 11.15pm. My 14 year old Son started being sick at 4am Monday morning and continued throughout Monday and Tuesday. I had diarrhoea from 6am Minday morning then started being sick at 6.40am, this continued until early hours Wednesday morning. (Then had no appetite, the thought of food made me feel nauseous. I was so lethargic and I had horrible stomach cramps.) My husband and daughter (10) started with sickness and diarrhoea on Tuesday evening and continued through until Wednesday afternoon. It was horrendous, we have never all been ill at once and have managed to contain it to just the children with previous sickness bugs.
At 3am on Wednesday morning within 20 mins of each other my daughter woke up with diarrhoea, I still felt very sick and had the worst cramps in my tummy. Dealt with the clean up and bed change, I was then sick again. Whilst I was washing my hands by youngest Son called out and he'd been sick all over his bed. (He had not been sick since Saturday night.)

This was caught from my youngest Son's school. Lots of children had been off ill the week before.

I ask dd if anyone was off sick she said no, apart from one teacher got ill whilst she was at school, dd didn’t know which illness, but that was the same day as dd, so I don’t think it was her because I’d assume it take 12-24 hours to infect you. It’s absolutely nuts, everyone is starting to get back to normal today thank god. DS told me he was starving after school, I mean he’s a teen who’s about 6ft so fair enough. The only person not got it, but there is time, is my brother. Fingers cross3d he either doesn't get it or soon. because I already had to cancel dd friend coming around once, so finger crossed we’ve rescheduled for same time this week. It seemed to be 24 hours and everyone felt way better. Not 100% but defo better. only dd and my mum had serious stomach cramps though.
