I want to take him away for 2-3 nights just me and him. But it would need to involve an activity or something as he’s quite sporty and isn’t one to sit by the pool for hours / days. I’m scared of heights and we both get sea sick! Any thoughts would be so helpful!

Char et voile is fun. You can do it in northern France. It does help if you speak a bit of french though.
My family live it. We’ve done it near Plouescat and also in Normandy.
Lots of nice food and history nearby too.

Canoeing/kayaking french rivers. I've read about companies that transport your luggage/ sort canoe trip, equipment etc although can't remember any company names.

Have a look at MuchBetterAdventures and see if any of their short itineraries spark an interest - you don’t have to then book through them, but they have good ideas

Thank you so much - these are all brilliant suggestions!
