Who is leading on schools and SEN funding?

Which politicians, change-makers and 'education influencers', for want of a better expression, are speaking seriously and with real insight about schools funding, and SEN in particular, in the run-up to the general election?

Is anyone's MP or local politicians leading on this in any meaningful way?

Things are desperate for schools, children and families up and down the country.

I dont think either of the main parties are focusing on education on this election.

I'm actually concerned labour haven't grasped what is going on in state education just by the limited scope of their suggestions.

As far as I can see, so far, only the lib dems specifically mention SEN by saying they intend to increase LA funding to support ehcps. The others seems to just talk on education as a whole.

Aargh!

We're in a Safety Valve local authority and it feels as if we're about to walk off a cliff edge.

I'm sending children to their secondary school places, knowing there won't be anywhere near the amount of support and resource available to them when they get there.

I just need for there to be someone who really gets it who is going to shout about this from the rooftops in the next few weeks and challenge future leaders in policy.

Parents are so ground down by advocating for their children they've no fight left.

@Spendonsend I'm aghast at how much energy labour are putting into beating private schools with a big stick and mention nothing, absolutely zero about sen, reading schemes, support at primary age and so on.

I feel like I'm trawling through SEND content on Twitter, following education think-tanks and research links in the hope of finding some reference to a consultation on draft policy, but there is literally n o t h i n g.
