Smart watch recommendations?

A few years ago I was given my MIL's old Apple Watch, I think it's a series 1. It's giving up a bit, the battery only lasts until mid afternoon, so I'm thinking about replacing it.

But I wondering if I really want/need an Apple Watch. I don't particularly use the phone features (messaging etc), I mainly use it for fitness, tracking my runs and other workouts, and for skipping music while running. But I do like seeing messages & breaking news alerts pop up, potentially not enough to justify the extra cost though. I like the three targets it has for the day - the activity, movement and standing every hour.

What smart watches do people have, and do you recommend them?

I have an Amazfit. It was £80 and looks like an apple. It tracks sleep, hr, running and whatever. I also get messages through it.
Unlike an apple you can't repky to messages.
Battery lasts a week. If it breaks I'll happily get the same again.

I have a Fossil Monroe. I love it. It does everything you require and most importantly for me, looks nothing like smartwatch.
The battery lasts 4 to 5 days.

That does look nice. But it looks like they don't make it anymore, annoyingly

Thanks, I'll have a look. I don't really mind about not replying to messages, the screen is so small I never actually use my watch for that beyond very occasionally clicking one of the pre-set reply options.
