Positive relocation stories

Just signed a contract to put our house on the market. Our first owned home, moving back towards parents who will help with childcare for DD (6months old) when I go back to work in December. Just looking for some positive stories to reassure me!

Would rather DD was looked after by family than in nursery until she’s a bit older, but have only just made friends (thank goodness for mum friends on mat leave!) in our area. Is it always this hard selling your first home and leaving an area you love!? Tell me you loved your new area just as much…

for reference - we’re moving back to an area we are familiar with, but not a lot of friends there.

We have moved as far south as Hampshire and as far north as Newcastle upon Tyne, 11 moves in all.

We had little choice it was for my husband’s career.

It’s been a fabulous journey, we have lived in some wonderful places and made many friends, it’s never easy but I have always enjoyed the challenge, our children attended many schools and always were happy and did well .

One of our homes was on a TV show our daughter now a mother herself saw it and sat and cried, she said it was her favourite house in her favourite part of the country.
She had forgotten 25 years on how lovely it was.
