Phone has no record of incoming call?

Driving along with phone connected to car and playing a podcast. Husband’s name pops up, sound goes to ring tone but I can’t answer because I forget how to activate hands free pick up. It rings 8 or 9 times then stops. We always communicate by text unless an emergency, and he knows I’m driving, so I pull over to call back straight away.

He says he didn’t call me. My phone has no record of the call, and neither does his. The call when we actually spoke is in the call log as you’d expect.

Has anyone had this? I feel like my phone is gaslighting me! I was really worried.

I've had my phone pick up on an 'old' call when I've connected my phone to the Bluetooth in the car. So the call would have ended some time before I got in my car.....but twice it's happened that as soon as I got in my car and the phone connected, it registered an incoming call. I couldn't answer this phantom call. The only way to clear it out was to turn off /restart my phone.

Interesting, thanks. This was after I’d been driving a while with phone connected, who knows? DH has now double checked my call log in case I was reading it wrong and agrees no record of the call.
