Fate or a tailored ad on Facebook?!

Hi
I was scrolling through Facebook last night and an ad came up saying 'Are you (my exact age)? 1 in 20 parents die before their child is 16.' And then asking to donate or something?? I can't remember too much as I was very tired but I remember it freaking me out and it still is! I have a 2 year old daughter and I worry about dying young, I always have. I'm scared this is the world giving me a sign!! Or has anyone had similar where Facebook have tailored ads specific to their age? I just feel that's such a random fact and statement to put out. I'm scared I actually will die before my daughter is 16!

Tailored ad of course! I get ones for my age group.

Tailored ad for sure!

It’s a targeted ad. Facebook knows how old you are that you have a child and the company has paid to access your feed. Was it for life insurance?

I get the same ad OP and have done since getting the FB app at 39 so definitely a targeted Ad!

Sorry should have added that each year it's changed to the age I am that year.

So glad to know it's probably not my future!
I know it sounds crazy but it was about 2:00 after a late shift and I went back on afterwards to check I wasn't imagining it! The ad didn't come back and I thought I was hallucinating as I've also started new tablets GrinBlush it was all very odd but it definitely wasn't a hallucination!
I reckon it was life insurance. I can't exactly remember as I was half asleep at the time but that makes sense
