I was diagnosed with bacterial tonsillitis on Monday after several days of incredibly sore throat / fever etc that wasn't going away. GP could see a lot of white spots and prescribed penicillin for 10 days. I'm on day 5 and still having pain in my throat when swallowing despite various pain relief, salt water rinses, mouthwash etc.
The pain has now spread to my ears and jaw. Awaiting a call back from the doctors, although feeling anxious as the GP was incredibly rude last time. I've also had very large ulcers for several weeks which haven't healed despite a course of steroids (l have been referred urgently for a biopsy which I'm trying not to worry about.)
When does it get better!? Any other tips to help speed the recovery for both ulcers and tonsillitis? I'm honestly so fed up of being in pain
