Dh builder has tipped fat down the sink

Everytime I cook mince I drain the fat into a bowl, put it in the fridge then bin it when solid.

Dispite moaning about blocked drains at work dh has tipped all the hot fat into the sink. There is solidified fat over the washing up and all over the actual steel sink.

Why? He moans about this kind of stuff then does it himself. He has clogged up the dishwasher before with fat from Sausages. We had to buy a new one.

He has gone to pick up a kid from a club and I have just found the sink all clogged up.

Hot water and detergent…

He has poured boiling water over it. I just can't see how he thinks that easier than just draining it into a bowl. But there you go! I might throw some Soda crystals down

We used something like Mr muscle monthly. I'm very careful about wiping out fat from frying pan, cake mixing bowl. The other day DH removed the trap under the kitchen sink and it was disgusting!

theres also that long metal wire type thing that you can use, when i did similar i had to take the u bend off the sink and flush it that way

I use caustic soda + hot water. Just use some gloves and eye protection
