Never seen it.before. It's very realistic. Poor Wilf only managed the first fifteen minutes and had to switch it off.

The opening sequence is the best part of the film. It goes a bit mediocre after that. Full metal jacket and apocalypse now are much better War films

I think Dunkirk is "better' if thats the right word for it. I dont know why I watch any of them though because I generally cry throughout.

Knew someone who was involved in it. He found it distressing as he had lived it and he said it was worse than was depicted.

My husbands cousin did all the special effects for Saving Private Ryan.
He also did snakes on a plane.
