Me and my mum are booked in this month on a Saturday for her birthday. She has always wanted to do it. We are typical Yorkshire lasses and I'm wondering if you've been how was it?

I went last weekend and it was pretty sensational. Has ruined all future afternoon teas for me! Make sure they know it's her birthday, the pianist will play and you get an extra little cake. It was just faultless - great service, great food and the room is so lovely

I went for a very lovely afternoon tea at the Savoy last year with friends. It was fab and, I agree with PP, will absolutely spoil you for every other afternoon tea!!! You and your Mum will have a fab time!

Excellent choice op! You’re both going to love it, excellent choice of teas, lovely sandwiches, scones and cakes. Service impeccable
Enjoy!

It's on You Tube. Meh, it's ok if you like sleek waiting on staff, luxurious surroundings, beautiful flowers, hand made cakes/pastries by the hotel patissiers and the chocolate made in house. I'm immune to such fripperies (I am lying and jealous). Went a long time ok when I had another life. Expensive then, more so now but sets the bar for everyone else

I went years ago and it was wonderful.
Even the loos were posh .
Enjoy

Oh yes we got incredibly excited by the toilets, tragically! Bigger than my house!

It’s lovely - one of the best in London. It’s posh and feels like an occasion but also quite relaxed (doesn’t have a strict dress code, unlike The Ritz).

Go hungry! You get loads of food. We took a lot home with us.

My mum absolutely loved it. There are no gimmicks or theming but she felt it was much better than all the other comparable ones she’s been to (including The Ritz which was quite far down her list of best afternoon teas).

I went 5 years ago and I loved it. I'm so jealous. I'd love to go again. I hope you enjoy it, OP.
