Early recall after biopsy

DH was seen for a doubtful lesion, and called back three days later for biopsy. At the time they said results would take 8 weeks. Yesterday they phoned and gave him an appointment for tomorrow. That's only three weeks after the biopsy.

Tell me this is just our local hospital finally getting their act together.

8 weeks is a really long time. DH who has had multiple biopsies, and had to have cancer removed multiple times, had his results within a week or two each time.

We thought it seemed long, but they said it wasn't worth chasing before then. Just keeping our fingers crossed till tomorrow.

Try not to worry. I had a big lipoma biopsied a couple of years ago and it certainly wasn't 8 weeks for the results.

I had two suspected cancer referrals last year and the turnaround time was very quick. Thankfully, nothing was found but I know how awful the waiting is. Fingers crossed for you both.

Mainly good news!
Not cancerous, but they're not entirely sure what it is. He has a three week course of medication, and a review appointment in three months.
The sun came out, so we celebrated with coffee by the sea.

That is good news OP. A relief I’m sure.
