So frustrating dealing with Jet2 Holidays

So fed up with being given the runaround with Jet2 Holidays, in a nutshell we went on holiday in April. We unfortunately experienced a few issues whilst we were on holiday, the hotel were very apologetic and refunded us generously via Jet2 Holidays.

We didn’t hear anything from Jet2 Holidays at all. I called Jet2 Holidays, they confirmed they received our refund from the hotel on 1 May, and said it takes 28 days to “process”, now 6 June, not heard a word. Called again said it’s not 28 days since I rang? so the 28 days starts from then! Really doubting that I will ever receive this refund.

My next holiday won’t be booked with Jet2, customer service is appalling.

Can you email and state unless your money is returned within 5 days you will go to small claims court. Don't give up, think they rely on people doing just that. Also google chief executive of Jet2 and see if you can find an email and copy him in on your email trail.

@Rocketpants50 yes, sounds a plan. I really don’t think I will ever get the refund otherwise. Emails also take… yes you guessed it 28 days to process! Always a measure of a company how they deal with complaint.

I had similar issues when they damaged my wheelchair last year. It took two months to agree it couldn't be repaired and three months before they payed out. I eneded up sending an email twice a day (after two weeks of this the money was in my account).

@Noticeimnotreacting how terrible, so sorry you had that experience.

Reviewed on Trustpilot, and emailed, email respond was allow 28 days! Honestly you couldn’t make it up.

Great news, just keep chasing them, you'll get there.

Glad it seems like you are getting sorted, but when they say 28 days, they almost certainly mean 28 working days. So by a quick reckoning (might be wrong by a day or two) and taking the bank holiday into account, it was only 25 working days between 1st May and 6th June when you origially posted, so 29 days to today. So if you got the correspondance yesterday, they were bang on 28 days! Totally rubbish, but that's companies sometimes!

I have now got my refund, at long last, thank you for all your suggestions and support.

Fantastic! Time to book another holiday - maybe not Jet2
