EasyJet pisstake - to cancel or change?

I booked a flight with easy yet for March 25, 5 a few days ago.

I've just had an email to say my flight back has changed by 9.5 hours (delayed). This is just no good for me now.

I know if I call, they might be able to change my flight for a charge but I don't think there will be a flight suitable.

I've seen another flight to another airport for a better time, so I'd like to cancel this one. But they'd charge me!

I haven't got travel insurance yet as I only just booked and it's a short flight for next year.

Would I be able to get travel insurance enable to claim against a changed flight that's no longer suitable? Would they have to reimburse me for changing my flight to one I can no longer take?

Any advice appreciated x

You can’t get insurance to insure you against something that has already happened? Well, not without committing fraud.

Your best bet is to phone EasyJet and explain that the flight no longer meets your needs, and that you would like a refund. See what they say before you decide your next move.

You should be able to get a full refund for a 9.5 hr change I would have thought.

You should just be able to cancel it, if they have moved the time.

Call them.
