Hello. I would just like to see if I’m over reacting here but I’m not happy at all.
my son leaves school this July and they’re holding a leavers performance for all parents, my son auditioned for 4 different parts and has been given back stage lighting!! He’s really upset as wanted to at least appear on stage as says there’s no point me even going to watch. In my opinion there should be a part for all children to participate to make it fair? I never ever complain but I feel I did too in this instance but not sure if it’s actually worth it?

Of course it's worth saying he needs to be seen at some point. It's his final show!

My daughter chose to do the lights/music/graphics etc from about Year 3 onwards as she preferred it.
At the end she would either go onto the stage with the class and take a bow or the teacher would lead the clapping and say something like "and our technical crew" and point towards the back where my daughter was and she would take a bow or smile and wave.
Could you ask that they do something similar?
(also I loved watching the plays/performances even though she wasn't on stage - her class were a great bunch and I liked watching them)
