Fucking dentures….i bloody hate them

Got a bottom denture after loads of dental issues. The dentist
put it in on Monday and I cannot get the bloody thing out…and it hurts - it hurts even more when I try and remove the bloody thing. Haven’t been able to
remove it since if was fitted,

FFS I’d rather be toothless than deal with this. Not totally toothless on the bottom and it’s a partial plate but it sure;y shouldn’t be this painful.

Dentist seeing me tomorrow at 4pm and I am dreading it as it’s so painful that I know removing it is going to hurt.

I’ve googled removal , I’ve tried everything suggested and am at a loss…I even tried a mouthful of oil Sadto try and loosen the poxy thing but no joy.

So they are stuck there until I have them painfully removed tomorrow .

Any amazing suggestions?

I’m sorry too not have anything constructive to say but that sounds utterly hellish! Is it possible your gum has swollen underneath because you’ve been trying to move it, so that’s making it tighter?

Empathy Op.. picked up my new upper partial today and my face feels like I've been punched, my gum feels bruised.
That aspect will probably improve with wear, but I have never had a partial that won't come out.. usually the opposite problem. Did they use denture glue? If so swilling with hot water may help to release it...and defo take some ibuprofen for the pain .

Really hope the dentist can jemmy it out tomorrow and adjust it for you!!

Thank you. Had a bit of a night but have an appointment for 4pm today. I’ll have to leave work early but am in enough pain I am likely to snarl at anyone who suggests I can’t.

My Mum has full dentures and she says she can’t really notice them, she can eat everything and gets no pain. I know this can be resolved.

Empathu and sympathy with you @Sonolanona . I hope it feels more comfortable soon.

I had the same with a partial top denture, the one Im wearing now. It was fitted and I just couldnt remove it at all. Luckily dentist fitted me in the following morning, removed it so easily, filed it a bit then let me practice the removal technique and Im happy with it now

See with new dentures, they like them to be tight as they do loosen with wear, only sometimes they are just too tight. Mines two years old now and there is a wee bit of slippage , not enough to make me want to use a fixture paste, but its not as snug as it used to be

My dentist is a god …that is all.

Much better Grin

I hate the adhesive no matter what type.......best I can find is those strips that you use one on each side........as far as removing the dentures and removing that devil glue......but they aren't for wearing and eating with since they will fall right out as you take a bite.........I hate the upper and lowers at the same time since mine when you close your mouth the front of the upper and lowers line up instead of the top slightly in front of the lower for a normal bite .....so I never wear the lowers and just use the uppers just to be seen and I can tell you don't even notice I have no lowers......only perfect way is to sell your house and cars and silver collection to afford those permanents they screw right in to your mouth with titanium screws and perfect teeth and at 67 I won't bother doing that unless the price drops to 1/10th of the current cost....right now I am about to take a shot of Courvoisier VSOP to get this glue out 😎
