Bullying in the work place

I can't go into detail as the situation could be outing. But a friend of mine works for the police . She is being bullied pretty badly by senior staff. The people she would normally go to are very close friends with the person doing the bullying. So who would she go to? She's also scared she could make things worse.

Does her force have staff support associations she can approach who she can speak to?

they have certainly helps me when I have been in a tough situation at work and cannot go to my SLT or manager/supervisor as they are sometimes the issue

She needs to speak to either the federation or unison. She can take sick leave with stress if necessary so when they come back she won't need to work woth that person.
Sadly in the police this is common.

There will be an integrity line which is run by PSD she needs to contact them and report this and also the federation for support

I don't think that she has a choice, as scary as that may be. Easy for me to say of course. But surely if she's facing being bullied daily then confronting the situation is going to be better for her in the long run. I would gather all evidence that she can and go to the union. She has a right to not be intimidated in work. All the best to her.

I had this loads as a youngster
i
lived and worked in Maidstone
40 years ago but its had a profound affect still … so my advice is get it sorted now … when i see threads likenthis its a trigger and i really really cannot emphasise enough ..do not stand for it ..
… bullies are cowards
I see one of them is on fb and she parades around like she’s the kindest person .. I had to leave when I was about to get married such was the nastiness and jealousy .. harassment .. mostly two women
ingot old wiser and tougher. I saw one of my tormentors a few years ago out shooing when I visited the area again and I I was getting very anxious and told hubby i needed to go home .. about 20 plus years after and it still made me anxious
if i had my time now id wipe the floor with them .. their are laws in this country .. please please donnot allow these cowards to push you to the brink x

She had to someone I forgot what it's called occupational Something?? They put in a report for xyz to be done. But instead they done abc so have ignored recommendations from another professional. Now they are making her go back to occupational and are trying to say she's not fit for front line work. Even though they never tried xyz. They are using something that happend 6 months ago as the reason she's not fit for front line duty. And it's a very petty thing and she was asked to do the thing that she did

How could I encourage my friend to contact the federation. She is scared to do it. I'm really concerned as the person bullying her has started to put certain things in writing so I'm very worried they are trying to build a fake case against her.
