WhatsApp and Siri - problem

Please can anyone help??
I rely on using Siri to read my WhatsApp messages and compose them.
I updated WhatsApp yesterday and since then Siri just won't connect - I get an error message every time such as 'uh oh there's a problem' or 'can't connect try again later'.

I have just deleted the WhatsApp app from my phone and reinstalled it and it STILL doesn't work with Siri (and I've lost a few days of messages as well as I was stupid and didn't update my iCloud to save the messages 😕).

Can anyone help, please??

Apple couldn't help but I deleted whatsapp and reinstalled it and now Siri works again. Hurray!!!

I still have the same issue, no change. Anyone else still having the problem?

@JulieT2708 try this:

Back up your WhatsApp chats (go into WhatsApp - settings - chats - chat backup).
When it's backed up, completely delete the app from your phone.
Download again from App Store and the problem should be fixed as it will download the version with the bug fix.

Thank you so much. I’ve just backed up to the cloud, deleted and reinstalled the app and Siri worked! Although when it sent the message it said there was a problem with the app but the message was sent.
