Adult children - when do you miss them?

I mean, are there any specific things that make you miss them, where it hits you?
I miss them all the time, but most of the time its ok, they are doing their thing. But, if i sit on the deck, in the Egg chair, it overwhelms me. I dotn know why, i think its cos its so quiet, and its a lovely wee spot, a tiny corner in my garden, i feel them not being there. I always get so nostalgiac sitting there, and i have to move to a differetnt part of the decck. We didnt play there or anything, its just v serene and it makes me think of them out in the busy world.
Is there anything that just brings it home and you have to sit and let it pass?
Probable a bit depressign sorry, but its bitter sweet.

That is so sad!!

Think of it this way, next time you are sat in your chair, don’t be sad. Appreciate the peace and quiet because you will be on grandma duty before you know it and won’t have the luxury as much 😁x

Its not sad as such though, it just brings on the missing them feeling intensely and most of the time i love the peace lol and in fairness we have a v full life without them, it just one of those things i guess.

It’s understandable though, I am dreading mine going to uni.

I don’t have any advice I am afraid other than move the chair! Or ring them when you are sitting there
