If your home is always lovely and clean, how often do you do these tasks:

•Windows
•Doors
•Skirting boards
•Kitchen appliances & behind/underneath them
•Kitchen cupboards
•Fridge
•Walls
•Underneath/behind furniture
•Mirrors
•Kitchen & bathroom tiles
•Cooker hood
•Under sofa cushions

Just spent longer than I care to admit getting my house properly clean and it was these things I hardly ever do that have taken up most of the time.

Embarrassingly, I have no idea of how often I should be doing these tasks to stay on top of things and am wanting to put together a schedule.

TIA

•Windows - when they look dirty
•Doors - rarely required
•Skirting boards - every time we vacuum - every 7 - 10 days
•Kitchen appliances & behind/underneath them - very rarely
•Kitchen cupboards - very rarely
•Fridge - every now and again
•Walls - ver, very rarely. They don't get dirty
•Underneath/behind furniture - every few weeks
•Mirrors - very occasionally
•Kitchen & bathroom tiles very rarely
•Cooker hood - every time after using the hob
•Under sofa cushions - occasionally

We aren't a messy household - no pets or small children, so the house just doesn't get very dirty. Dust is more the issue. Also, I keep on top of things.

I hoover my sofa every other day to keep it nice (it’s velvet), clean the fridge every week, wipe the kitchen cupboard doors every week, dust the skirtings every week. Everything else probably once or twice a year

edited to say mirrors also every week

Fridge, about once a week, kitchen and bathroom tiles, a few times a week. Kitchen cupboards, when they look dirty, walls and doors get mucky with kids handprints and stuff so I repaint every few months. I've got a leather sofa so I wipe it down a few times a week ( dog/ kids). Windows, when they look dirty so about once every 1-2 weeks.

•Windows - every few weeks in summer, less in winter, weather dependent
•Doors - rarely required
•Skirting boards - every time we vacuum, at least once a week
•Kitchen appliances & behind/underneath them - cooker, twice a week, fridge and washing machine etc monthly
•Kitchen cupboards - regularly when splashes, finger prints appear
•Fridge - every now and again
•Walls - very, very rarely. They don't get dirty
•Underneath/behind furniture - every few weeks
•Mirrors - weekly
•Kitchen & bathroom tiles - wiped daily after showering, grouting as and when, kitchen wiped daily
•Cooker hood - every time after using the hob
•Under sofa cushions - twice a month

With thanks to @RampantIvy for the template. 😉

Windows - window cleaner every 6 weeks for outside, I do inside every 3 months or so
•Doors- once a month ?
•Skirting boards - rarely
•Kitchen appliances & behind/underneath them - built in so that ain’t happening!
•Kitchen cupboards- I have done them this morning, probably 2x year
•Fridge - once a month unless something is spilt
•Walls - rarely, I spot clean if needed
•Underneath/behind furniture - every couple of weeks. Living room furniture is vacuumed under every 2 or 3 days as hairy 🐕
•Mirrors - once a week
•Kitchen & bathroom tiles - weekly
•Cooker hood- don’t have one
•Under sofa cushions - weekly

Windows - inside every few weeks, outside window cleaner does every 6 weeks
Doors - wipe over as and when I see anything that needs cleaning
Skirting boards - every time I hoover - once or twice a week
Kitchen appliances & behind/underneath them - don't keep any appliances on the surface. Give them a quick wipe over after every use before putting them away. Kitchen surfaces are wiped over multiple times a day
Kitchen cupboards - wipe these down every day or two
Fridge - clear it out and clean it once a week before putting the new shopping in.
Walls - I'd wipe off any marks as and when I saw them
Underneath/behind furniture - once or twice a week as part of hoovering
Mirrors - when I do the windows as I use the window cleaning spray
Kitchen & bathroom tiles - every week as part of cleaning the bathroom
Cooker hood - filters go in the dishwasher about once a week and outside has a quick wipe over
Under sofa cushions - when I wash and change the covers, so 2 or 3 times a year.

I'm a big believer in little and often, so our house always looks clean,

As little as possible. I’m retired now and have all the time in the world but spend it mainly doing classes, going for hikes and gaming.

It looks reasonable, with no ankle biters anymore it’s easy for it to be tidy.
