Feel like a teenager but still....

I went on a date last October - my first in 21 years!

I really liked him. He wasn't in to me. That's fine. Texts died out. Didn't have a second date. Nothing rude or bad.

I felt a bit sad about it and have dated a bit since then. But nobody at all has really grabbed my attention like he did. I'm not dating anymore as I probably am not ready.

Anyway, this morning, he's now my friend on FB and I don't know how. He did pop up on the People You May Know section but I would never knowingly send a friend request. I haven't been drunk or anything like that.

I feel embarrassed and don't want him to think I am chasing him when it's clear he's just not into me. I know it's not a marriage proposal but I just feel a bit cringe.

Should I just delete him or just ignore?

Just ignore.

Congrats on getting back out in to the dating world and I’m so happy your first went well.

Just remember that it is still a successful date even if it didn’t lead to a second. You had a good time and have built your confidence and it’s ok that it didn’t lead to a bigger connection whether that’s from your side or his. If finding someone you speak with was that easy, it wouldn’t be the special thing it is and there doesn’t need to be blame or a reason for why it’s not there.

Yeah. I think I will just ignore. Perhaps it was a pocket friend request. I wish he hadn't accepted though.
