I've just discovered it around 6 months ago and since then can't seem to buy anything full price because I know I will get it so much cheaper on vinted 🤣
Does anyone else share my love

I’m a headteacher. Had an Ofsted inspection recently and the inspector complimented my Hobbs dress, saying that she had it too. I blurted out, ‘bet yours wasn’t a fiver from Vinted’! 🤣

This is fabulous @nameohnameohname hope you got a good grade 😂

I did until I bought a fairly expensive branded jacket which turned out to be fake when it arrived and the only way to get my money back was to pay to return it. So ended up paying for two lots of postage for nothing and Vinted weren’t interested in the slightest. They said I could ask the seller to pay for the postage (obv didnt happen)!
Put me off knowing there was no buyer protection so havent used since

I never buy new with tags as I presume mostly shoplifted. Everyone denied it but I'm sure the majority is stolen.

lol I have a few things up at the moment for sale unused with tags and they are definitely not shoplifted!! Usually where I've lost the receipt or forgotten to take back or just never worn despite loving at the time. Just fyi!!

Yes I have developed quite an addiction to Vinted!

I buy as much as I sell, and all money made goes back into new purchases.
The number of “new” from regular shops purchases I have made has drastically reduced in the last year.

and I love that when I get bored of stuff in my wardrobe I can sell it on and it goes into the whole recycling system. Brilliant.

BettyUnderswoob · 03/06/2024 11:20

I love Vinted just a little bit too much. I have so much stuff!
Ive been lucky, just a couple of let downs but have always got my money back. And I don’t buy branded stuff from sellers with no ratings.

Just waiting for my new (to me) DM sandals to arrive!

Love Vinted! As someone who objects ethically to cheap fast fashion and is unwilling to spend lots of money on very ethically made clothes, I had a lot of old stuff in my wardrobe (and a few nice things I'd picked up in charity shops). Vinted takes away the guilt about both spending and environmental / human impacts of buying clothes and I can have fun searching for something I want and buying all sorts. I'd never really thought of clothes as something you could have fun with and be creative before.
Occasionally I buy something and it's not quite right when it arrives but as it's cost no more than £5-£10 including postage it's not the end of the world, I just put it in the charity shop bag.
Today I'm wearing Vinted top, Vinted hoodie and Vinted trainers.

Found a fila tshirt on there for £3, RRP £25

RainbowZebraWarrior · 03/06/2024 13:45

I've just literally unwrapped a parcel of three Nigel Slater cookery books that I bought for £1. Absolutely over the moon with them.

Got DD an O'Neil hoody. Barely worn, also £1

Many other bargains. On particular, DDs specific Anime collectables. I now buy almost all my favourite skincare and perfumes for less than half retail price (I always check to make sure its the latest packaging, so can't be years old)

Had a shocking experience with fake Nike trainers and Vinted were useless.

However, if the seller doesn't send your stuff within a week then vinted automatically refund you. This has happened 3 or 4 times and I've been grateful for it, as its been something required within a timescale (holiday or school fancy dress costume) the only time it happened when the seller was on holiday and I still wanted the item, I just bought it again.

All in all, we love Vinted.

AliceCallous · 03/06/2024 13:47

Yes, I love it. I'm addicted to shopping second hand. You get so much good stuff for nowt! I very seldom buy anything new. Getting a bargain is too thrilling.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 03/06/2024 13:51

Same here!
I've just pressed buy on a pair of BNWT grey Ecco trainers for £15.. RRP £130!
The only thing I ever buy new is underwear and socks
My favourite Superdry leather jacket went mouldy( damp now resolved) and I picked up the exact one for £25
I've been so lucky with bargains

uncomfortablydumb53 · 03/06/2024 14:00

I've just realised everything I'm wearing is from Vinted!
Hollister jeans, Joules T shirt Camper trainers( only tried on) for less than £30!

Conniethecatapillar · 03/06/2024 14:04

I love it too! I bought a dress from ASOS recently and felt guilty so I sent it back and then found one on Vinted for 3 pounds!

ConfusedConfuse · 03/06/2024 14:07

It's ok but don't find it that much cheaper than shops tbh

I was recommended Vinted by my friend but had only managed to buy one item and advertise two kids tops for sale when I got banned and could not get answer as to why 😢
