Anyone else suffering? I am so miserable with it this week. Have tried everything

I've found using allevia (which you can now buy from Tesco - used to be prescription only) and then avamys nose spray (prescription) really helps and it's the only 2 things that do! It's awful when it's not manageable though!

Howcanichange · 01/06/2024 19:34

Thank you. I have fexofenadine on prescription. I might try allevia instead. Thanks

Allevia is fexo. What dose are you on? Have you tried different treatments for different symptoms? Eyedrops, nasal spray? Edit due to autocorrect.

Yes as above it is the same. Have you tried the nasal sprays? I have to take both as soon as I open my eyes in the morning and then put Vaseline around my nostrils. Hope you find something that brings you some relief

It seems worse than usual this year. I'm really struggling with it. I'm on fexo 150mg but have take the odd second tablet after 12 hours on the worst days (definitely not advice for anyone else). I do have a nasal spray and eye drops too which do help a little, but it's a miserable one for it this year.

Howcanichange · 01/06/2024 20:41

I didn't have it at all until a few days ago, I thought I'd escaped it this year.
I have tablets and I have double dosed. I have nose spray, eye drops and the plug in thing.

This year is appalling. I normally have it quite mild but my eyes are a hot mess despite the eye drops.

I'm suffering. I bought a load of Benadryl super strength while I was in the states - but it makes me so sleepy.

Watch out for the Benadryl they sell in the states. It is a knock out drug. Not the same as you get in the uk. (Non drowsy yeah whatever),

(Brit living in the USA and sticking firmly to Zyrtec/ Claritin after my initial try at Benadryl ).

LittleBrownBaby · 02/06/2024 19:29

@Aria999 yup I've decided to bin the US ones - I actually felt a total mess on them yesterday. Back to uk Benadryl which seems less effective but with no side effects

WinterMorn · 02/06/2024 19:31

It has been absolutely awful today. Loratadine isn’t touching it 😐

And if my husband tells me one more time to go out and enjoy the sunshine!!!

You'll all have heard this before but if possible wash your hair before bed rather than in the morning so you can wash any pollen out of your hair before bed.
