Bbq am I being petty

My neighbours are having a bbq. They normally do it at the bottom of the garden. But they have done it next to the joining fence . Close to the house. About 4ft from my patio doors . And all the smoke would be coming in my living room so can't open the doors.

They are nice neighbours . I'm not going to do fuck all about it. Apart from moan on here. But am I being petty.

Assuming you have similar weather to us, can you manage with the patio doors shut tonight?

It's not typical BBQ weather so hopefully they aren't at it all night?

Hmm it's a bit annoying, but just one of those things.

I'd be annoyed. Too, but like you, I'd just seethe a bit rather than raise it with them. I think that's the quickest way for it to all blow over, but maybe if it happens a second time you could mention to them (after the event, not while the BBQing is happening) that you much preferred it when they BBQd from the other end, and could the consider doing thay again next time?

Probably because of the wind? I’d shut the doors, I would seethe inwardly lol

It's no problem at all when it's the other end of the garden . It's mot a big garden at all but makes a difference.

It's too cold to keep doors and windows open, so I would be sitting inside my nice warm living room not feeling sorry for the people at the barbecue.

They normally do . Maybe they just Were not thinking . It's not like we are sitting out there. I probably want to open the doors because I know I can't 🤣

Ah well, it's just part of life.

As is cleaning the patio.
Do you have a jetwash?
Could it do with a spruce up?

Actually just call over the fence "That smells nice..." They may invite you!

Yes. You are being petty.

🤣 I wouldn't do that . I will get the kids to bounce their basket ball instead . Only joking. Hopefully it's a one of they have alot of bbqs roughly twice a week at the moment. In summer I think they do all their meals on the bbq every day . Not normally that close though so if it ends up there regularly them I will ask them to move it down the garden a bit
