I’m going to Newcastle for 3 nights soon and I’d appreciate any advice on which towns/places are best to spend time.

We’ll be spending time in Newcastle of course and I’ve never visited before but we were also thinking of travelling to one or two of time following Beamish, Durham,Alnwick, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay.

Which would people recommend for 2 adults and if you have any other must visit places I’d appreciate it

TIA

Beamish is really good, we’ve been a few times. There is loads to see.

Beamish is lovely, and Durham is so pretty. I love the Life (Science) museum in Newcastle- I can't work out if it's strange to visit without kids- but the adults have so much fun playing with the science experiments so I don't necessarily think so- it makes a good rainy day activity. It also has a planetarium inside!

The bus tours are good, hop on and off when you see something you fancy.
