Durham University Open Day

I'm wondering if anyone in the know can help? We're booked an open day at Durham in June but I'm at a loss as to know where we go when we arrive?? Are all the colleges open and you go where you want or am I missing something? Anyone with experience of Durham who can help??

Go where you want, research colleges first so you can be choosy about where you spend your time. DD is 2nd year at Durham if you want to DM me.

No direct experience of Durham, but in general you should visit the department of the subject that your DC is applying for. Then maybe visit some of the colleges. I know they have a different feel so maybe read up on them first.
I had a friend who was in St Chad's, chosen I think because it was smaller and for the rowing (this was many years ago though).

This is really helpful. My DD wants to do MFL (German) so any top tips relative to that would be amazing

Yes you can just wander about, but contact the MFL department to see if they are running talks that she can go to.
I really enjoyed the open day and DC was able to visit colleges and choose the ones to apply to.
