Heating has just been put on here in Cambridgeshire. 😔

WhenTheMoonShines · 01/06/2024 15:28

Scotland, sunny, 19 degrees with a real feel of 23. We’ve been out in the paddling pool most of the day

@SOxon summer doesn’t begin until 21st June.

Depends whom you ask. There are the celtic seasons, meteorological or astronomical.

I'm huddled under a blanket watching the washing being spun round on the rotary line.
It's overcast and flipping freezing 🥶 on the South East Coast

We’re inland in the South East but ditto. Took DDs to the park as usual this morning after their swimming lessons, and friend and I were freezing sitting there watching the children playing. All of us had winter coats on and DD2 (almost 3 and toddlers are not known for feeling the cold) asked for her woolly hat!

Where are all you people on the south coast. Im on the south coast.

Hampshire.

Was about 12° when I took ds swim training at 6.30am.

Been quite windy and clouding over but not cold. I've sat in the garden listening to podcasts in shirts and t shirts.

Certainly don't need heating on atm even at nighttime.

It’s definitely taps aff here in Glasgow today

Yes sitting basking in wall to wall sunshine. In the glorious uncrowded countryside. Sorry!

Peridot1 · 01/06/2024 16:14

@itsgettingweird - I’m Hampshire too and it’s definitely not t-shirt weather for me! I’m in leggings, socks and a sweatshirt! It’s apparently 19 right now but doesn’t look it or feel it!

piscofrisco · 01/06/2024 16:22

I'm in Herts and it's chilly and grey. The wind is cold. It's a bit uninspiring.

Newestname002 · 01/06/2024 16:29

I'm back in my winter multi-layers. Even had the heating on for a short burst last night and this morning to take the chill off. 🌹

greengreyblue · 01/06/2024 16:35

Not seen the sun at all today.

OkPedro · 01/06/2024 16:38

Cloudy with a little breakthrough of sun it's a lovely 18° in Dublin today

Crunchymum · 01/06/2024 16:44

Was at ZSL yesterday and it was proper cold. Really unpleasant actually but thankfully I'd packed an extra jumper for the kids, I was fecking freezing though (short sleeve top and thin cardigan) 🥶

Haven't been out as much today (the kids have been on their bikes so feeling warm). I did take coats for swimming lessons this morning though, and they were needed.

Think it's caught me off guard as it had been warmer until Thursday. Wet and grey but warm enough. Now we're grey and cold. Really, really depressing.

Movingon2024 · 01/06/2024 16:56

it’s blue skies and sunshine here in the NE.
sitting in the garden in a T-shirt but it’s sheltered. It’s cool when you step away from sheltered part. And this morning was cold.
not complaining though as it’s not raining!! Which it has been for most of last 6 months…

emmetgirl · 01/06/2024 16:57

Beautiful ☀️ sunshine in Cornwall today!

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 01/06/2024 16:59

Cornwall and it’s actually a lovely day, blue skies and sunshine. But yeah, it’s been a bit pants in general so far, hope some sunshine stays put for a while (all summer).

.

Emeraldsrock · 01/06/2024 17:04

Not just the uk that’s crap.
In the Netherlands on holiday and it’s miserable with patchy heavy rain showers with scattered bits of warmth that haven’t been able to predict and today it has been cold and windy. Every time we have planned to do something outside it has been raining. Every time we have done something indoors the sun has come out. Am thoroughly depressed by it. The forecast says sunny and warm tommorow all day but I don’t trust it.

xxSideshowAuntSallyxx · 01/06/2024 17:10

Apparently it's going to be 23c where I live tomorrow, I'll believe that when I see it.

I'm bored now though, if it was warmer I'd be outside gardening, reading or cycling. I mean I don't mind cycling in this weather (at least it's dry) but it's cold when you get to where you're going so you don't feel like sitting down for long.

Perihelion · 01/06/2024 17:20

22C and no haar yet in Edinburgh.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 01/06/2024 17:24

Cold in bed last night. Heating on again.

Predicted feels like temp of 11 next week.

Redglitter · 01/06/2024 17:26

West of Scotland and its a gloriously sunny 22 here. Gorgeous summers day

justasking111 · 01/06/2024 17:27

North Wales here. Two loads of washing dry and two hours sunbathing in the garden this afternoon.

mitogoshi · 01/06/2024 17:35

21 degrees and partly sunny here, not had heating on for 3 weeks now

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 01/06/2024 17:51

I'm in Leeds and it lovely, 19° although breezy.

I've just driven past three pubs, all with loads of people outside. I'm soooo jealous as we're on lift duty for DS tonight . Our plans are to drop him off, do a supermarket shop, some ironing, collect him then bed.

Rock 'n Roll Saturday night!!!
