Crap foods from your childhood you still eat now.

After food shopping and a tough day at work, I couldn't be arsed to cook myself anything. DH had already fed himself and DC, and I didn't want what they were having.

So I've made myself a bowl of left over rice, lots of sugar and milk, heated it the microwave while I unpacked the shopping. Used to love this from my childhood, mock rice pudding. Yum!

A big treat when I was little was butter, sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on toast. The thought of all that crunchy sugar now slightly sets my teeth on edge.

If desperate I used to also make fake peppermint creams out of icing sugar I found in mum's baking stuff cupboard. Fake as in there was no peppermint in them just icing sugar and water.

Actually I realise I havent even answered the actual question, as, while crap, I haven't actually eaten either of those things recently. Athough if times get hard, they are top of the list..

You can tell a persons age from some of these answers 😆🤣

My dinner every night is something like that. I hate cooking and I am not that arsed about food. After cooling one meal for DS and another for DH, I just can’t be arsed. Spaghetti hoops and crisps on toast is probably my favourite meal.

That makes me feel a bit sad. I dont know what your set-up is obviously but get DH to cook you both supper sometimes? Men are often really good cooks when they get going as they are usually pretty (very) keen on food I've noticed and often make an effort if they are the ones cooking. You shouldn't be the one that misses out!

Vesta chow mein with crispy noodles. Yummy :)

Eaten so rarely in our house that it was considered a special treat. I used to love all the different numbered bags and sachets inside the box. I want one now.

My brother and I used to eat butter and sugar.
Scrape the butter straight from the dish with your finger and then dip it in sugar and eat.
